GRAND REOPENING WEEKEND AT STROUD LIDO – STARTS SATURDAY 15th AUGUST
To mark the reopening, there will be a vibrant weekend of family-friendly entertainment, live music, and local art.
Saturday 15th August
Opening launch event at 10.30am on the lido forecourt:
- Stroud’s own Moonlighting band will be playing 1930’s style swing music at the entrance, organised by SOLS volunteers. (Thanks to Stroud Town Council and Stroud District Council for co-funding this.)
- Admire the awesome new Art Deco-style mural at the lido entrance, designed and painted by artists Katherine Bryan-Merrett and Leigh Charman (with help from Sam Carter and many other wonderful people), coordinated by SOLS volunteers, and crowdfunded by YOUR generosity – thank you! (You can still donate, all funds will be used to help pay the artists!)
- Throughout the day, the Active Lifestyles gazebo will be there with fun for all the family: games, goody bags and lido colouring sheets!
- The pool opens on Saturday from 9-11am for lane swimming, 11am-2pm and 2.30-5.30pm for public swimming, and 5.45-6.45pm for lane swimming. See full details and book now at the SDC website!
