THE LIDO IS REOPENING!

Thanks to YOUR hard work, the lido is reopening on Saturday 15th August! Check out the new opening hours and how to book.

We couldn’t be more thrilled that Stroud District Council have agreed that it makes sense to reopen the lido this summer. We think Caroline from SOLS puts it best:

This opening is thanks to EVERYONE who emailed councillors, flash mobbed, waved placards, signed the petition, put up posters, turned up to boring council meetings, donated to fund the mural, and more. We can’t wait to see everyone at the outdoor pool over the next 6 weeks – let’s come and show the lido some love!

How you can help now

The lido still needs your love. Here’s how you can help it:

• Come along and swim! Show the lido some love – book here and come to the exciting weekend reopening events on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August!
• Share your ideas for the lido – we need your ideas for how to make the lido better for everyone, hopes, dreams, visions – share your ideas here
• Thank your councillor for reopening the lido, and ask them to consult the community on what comes next – write to them here.

We couldn’t be more thrilled that the lido is reopening this summer – but the fight isn’t over yet. The longer-term future of the lido is still in doubt.
