To stop the rush closure of the lido, we need Stroud District Council to get proper information on all the options, and hold a transparent debate.

Your voice is critical to making that happen. Here’s what to do.

Write to your councillor

Councillors have the final vote to close the lido or not. Your voice is critical to how your councillor will vote, so the most important thing to do now is write to your councillor.

This is how:

  1. Go to WriteToThem.com and enter your postcode
  2. Choose the ‘district councillor’ option to write to your Stroud district councillor.

You can say whatever you like, but we suggest saying:

  1. What closing the lido this summer would mean to you – write as much or little as you like
  2. Please urgently get more evidence – we need a full set of options, timelines and costs, not just to upgrade, but also to repair
  3. Please don’t close the lido without proper debate – we need enough time to review all the evidence, so if necessary please postpone the vote on 16 April.

The easiest way to write to your councillor is to use WriteToThem, or if you know who your councillor is, find their email here.
